Wind Farm Impact Assessment Home Page

Reading

Here is a list of the documents referenced by the proponent during the preparation of the environmental impact statement EIS and used by the Department to assess wind farms.

The key documents are the Wind Energy Framework, a suite of policy documents designed to guide wind farm developers through the EIS process.  Whilst emphasis is placed on the importance of community consultation, the target audience is wind farm developers and it is the NSW Government’s intention for these documents to be the key reference documents for decision-making on State significant wind farms in NSW.

We have prepared plain English guides to each of the documents for communities to consider. Any issues we think warrant further consideration are summarised at the end of each document.
